My candid experience laid out:
I was in a relationship from my sophomore year in college spring semester (2004) We grew up together in a sense. As we went through our college experience we did a lot together. We had ups and downs and even a break up. We grew a part and took a break during my graduate school year. We were so used to each other that the break didn't last for long. I was jealous of him and his new 'relationship' and he was most certainly the same way if he saw me talking to anyone else. The end result? I had a negative experience after coming back home for good from college. I needed to leave my fathers house immediately the only person I felt like I could call was him. He was there for me, came to my 'rescue' and spoke on my behalf to 'resolve' the issue. I started staying with him and we kinda just ended up being a couple again. I can and will get into the in-betweens later on.
2010 was the year many of our college friends got engaged or married. It was the thing to do for our generation. I would drop hints about rings, because that's what seemed to be next, marriage right? I had planned it in my head, I knew what song was to be played and everything! What? oh Yes this was going to happen!!! lol...whether anyone liked it or not.
in November of 2010 or was it October? anyway! He begged me to give me a day that I wouldn't be busy so that I could get a massage and be featured on a website. I finally gave him a day and he made it happen. That was the day that he proposed. it was very special and romantic. Very sweet and I am surprised that it happened to me. I started attending bridal shows and wedding venues and started the process of planning a wedding.
OMG!! I planned my own wedding in less than a year! I completed MANY successful DIY projects and I am very proud of them. There are so many resources around now that I wish I had access to for my experience. But I plan on taking you through my process to show you that WE can do this planning thing and on a budget too!
Don't believe me just watch! I'll add more to this story. just stay tuned.
